Eat more and stay healthy. There are a lot of people who practice crash dieting in the hopes of staying in shape, but this usually does more harm than good aside from the fact that it can result to eating disorders and can slow down the metabolism of the body.

In fact, what is needed is to eat five times a day only with smaller and healthier portions. Most celebrity diets like the ones Beyonce and Melissa Joan Hart and Janet Jackson have used did not include starving the self.

Diet: What is Advisable

Actually, these diets are comprised with 5 meals a day together with 30-45 minutes of exercise every day. In truth, the more food and the more one chews the faster the rate of metabolism. The body has to use more calories to burn the food. It is advisable then to eat every 3 to 4 hours but with highly nutritious foods like oatmeal, walnuts, peanuts, celery, banana, apples, oranges, and other green leafy vegetables.

Get Up and Move Around

Reduce television time and internet gaming. People, who tend to watch 6 hours or more television and those who spend most of their time playing games on the internet, end up feeling tired and stressed.

There are lesser chances for interaction and they can’t establish a good body rhythm. People who are addicted to watching TV and playing video games have a harder time sleeping. They also have lesser planning time for proper and well balanced meals. Most end up ordering fast food and over eating junk food.

It would be best to limit the hours spend on this gadget. However, if this cannot be done due to the demands of a job, then the person has to find a way to compensate for lost hours of exercise and make sure to eat well balanced and healthy meals as well as take multivitamins.

Do more hobbies and learn sports. Having a favorite sport like basketball, badminton and other sporting activities can boost the chances of exercising and interacting with friends and other people which is a healthy plan in itself.
